The goal of this website is to give explanations and information to the patient, and not to make a publicity, nor for the surgeon, nor for any particular technique.

The described surgical techniques are recognized and approved by different scientifical societies; the general content of this website is approved and recommended by the BSCRS (Belgian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons).

The content and the general description of different surgical techniques, is the result of a common work from different eye specialists, and can also be found in different brochures, edited by the BSCRS.

This website also comments on the most frequent eye diseases, eye related problems and is supposed to help you to find your way in difficult medical terms.

This website will never be an alternative to an eye examination by an eye specialist, and cannot account for the different and individual medical history of each patient.

This has of course to be discussed during the consultation and the dialog between patient and doctor.
